Once again we were recognized as a
USTA "no cut" tennis
program with over 60 players making up our team.
It has been 22 years since both boys’ and girls’ team reached the State finals.
The boys team finished as
2012 FHSAA Class 1A State Tennis Champions and
our girls finished as the
2012 FHSAA Class 1A State Runner Up!
On their run to the State Championship
the boys defeated defending 1A State
Champions (Sagemont) in the Regional
Finals and 4 A Champions (Spanish
River) during the regular season to
post a 16-1 record for the year.
The girls posted a
13-2 record this
year finishing as
District Runner Ups,
Regional Champions, and State Runner Up.
The girls were relentless when it
came to competing and fought for every
match throughout the season. It paid off,
as the girls team even as
defending
State Champions (2011) were unseeded
going into the Championships. After
a well fought battle against 8 other
schools they eventually lost to Ransom Everglades.
